Comprehensive Electrical Failure Investigations

Electrical Forensics, Inc uses witness interviews, observation, and testing to give you a detailed report of your equipment’s failure. We determine if it is a product defect, installation error, normal wear-n-tear, or improper use is the cause.

After a mode of failure is established, our team then proceeds to photograph relevant items and compile a report. This will remove any doubt from opposing sides that may or may not have attended the site visit and disprove any alternative theories.

Fire Origin and Cause

We work independently or alongside your fire origin-and-cause investigator to confirm or eliminate electrical ignition sources. Our team prefers working along side other investigators as this helps eliminate or reduce the spoilage of evidence.

Cooperating with other investigators also results in faster processing of the area which could lead to immediate resolutions of cases.

Non-Destructive Testing

We specialize in non-destructive testing of air conditioning systems and residential electrical systems. Both of these require a specialized set of skills to properly conduct and detail the condition of the entire network.

Air Conditioning Testing

Our company thoroughly tests air conditioning systems to determine their malfunction. There are many failure modes to consider and many aren’t covered by typical insurance packages. Whether is due to lightning or wear and tear, we’ll find the cause of failure.

We don’t just test the compressor. Our team also tests every component possible in your air conditioning system. This thoroughness in testing has impressed our clients, who have little opposition to the results and conclusions we arrive at.

Whole-House Electrical Testing

Electrical Forensics, Inc can test your home’s electrical system for damage after a severe thunderstorm. Using accurate measurements and our experience, we accurately determine in-wall failure locations and minimize drywall repairs.

The thoroughness of our testing often reveals errors made by previous electricians when the house or building was constructed. When we repair these errors, we are able to only affect a small portion of your wall since most issues can be localized.

Our electrical engineers have many years of experience working as master electricians and are very familiar with most wiring methods.

Evaluating Cost Estimates

We assist insurance adjusters in evaluating cost estimates (damage evaluations) and determining if reported items are damaged by the reported occurrence. Our team also provides repairability evaluations upon request.
